Dan Grittner, Groomsman

Dan, or Daniel, or "Big Dan" (as opposed to his uncle, Little Dan Lippert), is the youngest of the three Grittner boys, with aspirations to be the tallest. Just recently turned 15, he already wears shoes as large as his brothers', which bodes well for his quest to surpass 6'4" Sam and 6'5" Jesse. Big shoe jokes aside, Dan is shocking all who have known him for any length of time by turning out to be a considerate, intelligent and fun young man.

Although both of his brothers weathered relatively rough transitions to high school life, Dan made quite the splash during his recently-ended freshman year at Harding High School in St. Paul. Under the careful guidance of his friend David Lee, a senior, Dan has become a three-season athlete, involved in track, cross-country running and cross-country skiing. Although his family feared that years of a steady diet of television and video games could only lead to muscular atrophy, thereby creating the potential for a spectacularly embarrassing hurdling accident, Dan managed to letter in Track during his very first season. He is taking time out of his busy schedule as a Teacher's Assistant at the Artward Bound summer program at St. Paul Academy to take part in the wedding. His selflessness is appreciated.
